An era of increased synanthropization, not to speak of escalating synurbanization, has begun. Red foxes migrate northwards away from warmer temperatures, picking their way across K-Mart car parks and motorways and electrified fences. The pressure is on for animals to find their niche in previously human-dominated places. Negotiations may sometimes become fraught. The farm-zoo-LifeOnEarth-TopCat matrix may not hold forever. A change from the present paranoid separations may be on the cards. Mosquitos will take Florida again.
