Statue of the monk Anonym(o)us by Miklós Ligeti in Budapest
With what justification, if any, can we say: “myths are as present on or stored up in the landscape as in individuals’ minds?”
Even in the classical physical world there is action at a distance: gravity, and we may be able to use its variability as a language to communicate with other universes through the multi-dimensional membrane to which our universe precariously adheres.
The borders of the body include these structures. The flow of energy to and from the body, whatever negotiates between the organism and its environment = the body. Our organism’s ‘border’ is not a thing, but a process, “conferring upon the organism a persistence that endures as long as its boundary can adaptively modify the flows of energy and matter.”
